Arsenal midfielder Freddie Ljungberg admits he was left bitterly disappointed by his side's 2-0 defeat at the weekend.
Chelsea's visit to Highbury on Sunday saw the reigning Premiership champions cruise to a victory that never looked in doubt once Arjen Robben had given them a first half lead. Arsenal were perhaps unfortunate to see Robin van Persie's 'goal' disallowed for offside, with the Swedish schemer of the opinion that this decision effectively changed the course of the match.
"It feels tough," Ljungberg told Expressen.
"We were putting good pressure on Chelsea in the first half. We created quite a few chances. It feels tough afterwards when you hear that the disallowed goal should definitively have been accepted and then, we also had one on the post. It is obvious that it would have changed the match if the assistant referee had not flagged. They are very good defensively. Had we got the goal, they would have had to open up a bit."
